It's been really tough for me to stay motivated, but I'm doing my best. I actually carry around an old picture of me (the way I want to look again) as a reminder. I probably glance at it 10+ times a day. What works for you?

It's an interesting one isn't it; different people use different things to keep motivated.

As for me, i train 4 days a week and rarely skip a session as i've been doing it for so long now it just feels weird not doing four days at the gym.

Being active on here and other bodybuilding forums has definitely helped keep me motivated. I think if you focus on something enough then motivation is relatively easy, it's just when it takes the side line and other things become more important than you start finding it tough.

What I usually always find with going to the gym is that no matter how rubbish or unenthusiastic i'm feeling, I've never left the gym wishing i hadn't trained that day.

Simple, the pump and alot of weight on the bar with the knowledge that if you stop or stall you will not get better (stronger, bigger, more ripped or wateva your goal) thats where my motivation is at.

I always have to pick something a few months in advance that I feel like I need to "train for". No I'm not talking about competitions or anything. Just pure vanity. Like I know in 4 months I'll be taking my shirt off just about everyday at the neighborhood pool and there are quite a few others around here that are fit - so I wanted to be ripped by that time. Or maybe it's a vacation, or some party in the future that I want people to think "wow" that dude is fit (even if it's only in my head). So call me vain, call me superficial but that's the stuff that motivates me.

Nothing wrong with taking pride in ones appearance!

Setting yourself small goals like that is always a great way to keep motivated isn't it. I tend to do the same thing, that and switch between a mini bulk and a mini cut just to keep myself active.

Sometimes to keep ke going I actually have a cheat meal or snack of some sort. I would say that twice a month or so I have a packet of crisps or a cake. This then gives menus re focus I am desiring and I'm back on it like jam on toast!!!

motivation is my weakest point, i have to keep myself going to the gym an stick to a routine, coz if i miss 1 session the nxt thing i realise that its been a week and so on.
but what keeps me going is that im quite vain an i hate looking like the skinny kid(i get a real buzz when people tell me i look bigger) and also im trainin to be a personal trainer
