If you really don't like breakfast, at least have something with glucose/carbs to stop the gluconeogenesis cycle that occurs during sleep (essentially a starvation period). A supplement drink or even oatmeal and glass of juice.

Yeah, it can be tough eating first thing in the morning. But providing you get into a routine of it, it can get easier and easier.
If you're unable to eat breakfast first thing in the morning then i would definitely suggest at least taking Doc's advice above, some kind of carb/glucose is definitely recommended.
SO EAT BREAKFAST DAMMIT!!!!! (nag over)

I do love oatmeal, but can only make the instant kind. I'm embarrassed!

Microwave it instead I buy a big box of plain Quaker oats and stick it in the ol' microwave for about 2 or 3 minutes and it's job done!

I'll usually have oatmeal, orange juice, bagel, coffee, fresh fruit, banana and an egg. I usually eat fruit that is in season like grapefruits or kiwis or tangerines. I used to not eat breakfast and would never really wake up until lunch time. Now I have energy throughout the day.

haha, I love weetabix - I could quite happily eat them all day long. Once i binged out on a bowl of 8 of them lol. Better that than a bar of chocolate! (that's what I keep telling myself anyway...)

Support your immune scheme with a good allowance of Vitamin C and garlic (both of which have anti-viral properties) and address utilizing a Neti Pot with Saline if you are experiencing problem with congestion.
